The label

In the search for an energetic, old but new sound - Lazarus music stumbled upon retropop!

Larazus music saw the light of day in the fall of 2015, with the release of Robert Vendetta's first single "They." The lable was run like a proper indie-lable with the help of promotion companies, but now strives to continue on its own - with a heart for music and daring release strategies. In the middle of it all you'll find the sound produced at the lable's very own studio. We call it retropop, but the most important thing is that it's gotta be funky and energetic. It's gotta move the people!

The artist

Let us introduce Robert Vendetta - the artist who invented retropop - and a true showman!

We nicknamed Robert Vendetta the norwegian mariachi. Simple because he's always wanted a mariachi suit, and that you can tell by the way he dresses. And he loves Mexico!  And all kinds of music. Which makes him a meltingpot of influences, which all shines through in his music and stage performance! With heroes like James Brown and Dee Snider you learn to put on a great show. And yeah, he invented retropop - and carries its flag as a producer, songwriter and an artist. Visit his website here.

The studio

Lazarus music teamed up with "The Vendetta Room" this year. Now we're partners in crime on paper too!

So the new name of the studio is simply "Lazarus music studios!" But the quest remains the same - to help young (and older) artists and bands recording their music. The recording room is exceptionally good - probably and accident since all the walls of the room were crooked. And the studio has a lot of vintage gear to make that energetic and raw sound. All sorts of music has been recorded here from latin music, through troubadours and heavy metal. And the basis is producer Robert Vendettas ability to get musicians to feel at ease and do their best!
